Wedding Recap: Bridesmaid Luncheon

My bridesmaid's luncheon was absolutely FABULOUS! My Mom's best friend, Angie, hosted the luncheon at her mother's beautiful home. They definitely went all-out. They had beautiful table settings, beautiful flowers, delicious food, and of course, mimosas!

I absolutely LOVED picking out gifts for my bridesmaids. I made (with the help of Mrs. Southern Belle) crystal pearl drop earrings for them to wear in the wedding. I also got them personalized Land's End tote bags (my favorite), personalized beach towels, tervis tumblers, flip-flops for the reception, and I also got their wedding shoes. My Mother-in-law got all the bridesmaids (and me!) personalized waffle spa robes to wear while we got ready on Saturday. I LOVE mine and I hope the girls loved theirs also.
I gave my Mom, my MIL, my Grandma, my Aunt, and my SIL's mom monogrammed hankies for the wedding. I also gave my Mom, MIL, and Grandma engraved silver frames. I really loved picking out the gifts for everyone.
The bridesmaid's luncheon was so fun; I did not want to leave! Thank you Angie for the wonderful luncheon. Every detail was absolutely perfect!

Wedding Recap: Sip 'n' See

I'm back again! I have been so busy since we arrived home from our honeymoon. I have had to move, unpack, and set-up our new home together. Married life has been wonderful!

Since I have SO many pictures from our wedding weekend, I thought I would split up the posts into the different events we had during the weekend. Thursday night, my Mom hosted a Sip 'n' See at my parents house. My mom grew up attending Sip 'n' See's in the South, so she really wanted me to have one. Basically, the ladies dropped by to see the wedding gifts (specifically the china patterns) and enjoy champagne & appetizers. It was a fabulous way to kick-off the wedding weekend! I loved getting to see our friends and family that were just arriving for the weekend.

Me, Dad, and Mom:
My lovely friends:
Alison and me:Michael even dropped by once he got into town:
That's it for now...I'll be back tomorrow with the bridesmaid luncheon re-cap!

Wedding Week!

It's FINALLY here! I am so excited that my wedding is SATURDAY! I am so happy to say that I don't have hardly anything left to do at this point, except pack for the honeymoon.

Today, my Mom and I had a Spa Day! It was fabulous - I had a facial, massage, and body scrub/polish. I feel so relaxed! Here is where we went, Renew Day Spa:

Tomorrow will consist of last minute details, since we have guests arriving on Thursday. We are having a Sip 'n' See at our house on Thursday evening, so it will be great to see some of our friends before the big weekend starts. Have a great week!

Wedding Programs

I finally finished my wedding ceremony programs over the weekend! I was SO happy to have them done - I had no idea how long it would take to tie 130 bows onto the programs. The programs were definitely a labor of love. I had Pink Design Events design the format. Next, I was lucky enough to have a vendor I used to work with at my job offer to print, score, and drill holes in them for free! Then, I had to find about 80 yards of ivory ribbon, which was no easy task (I found a spool of 20 yards at 4 different stores). Finally, my Mom and I spent all day Friday tying on the bows. I loved the way they turned out! I wanted something very classic, simple, and elegant. Unfortunately, I can't show you the cover because it has our personal information!

We found the cute basket at Target and I just added some grosgrain ribbon and a sign. What do you think?

New Lamps and a New Purse

Sorry for the lack of posting lately; I've been swamped with wedding details! I have managed to squeeze in some fun shopping though. I found two gorgeous lamps at Home Goods yesterday - $35 a piece!

This one is going to go in our dining room. We have almost all painted black wood furniture, so I think this would give the room a pop of color:

This lamp will go on Michael's bedside table...his current lamp is way too small and I think this will balance out the room a little better:

Also, I got this adorable Kate Spade bag at the Kate Spade outlet on Tuesday...who knew there was a Kate Spade outlet!?

I'll be back tomorrow with more wedding details. Have a great Thursday!

It's a Boy!

My brother and his wife found out that they are having a little baby boy! I couldn't be happier! I can't wait to start buying baby clothes and baby accessories for them now that they know the sex of the baby. Congratulations Michelle and Chris!

Wedding in Hilton Head!

We had the most amazing weekend in Hilton Head for our friend's wedding! The groom was one of Michael's fraternity brothers and the bride also went to Furman. It was such a fun group of people.

We played golf on Saturday with Michael's best friend and his girlfriend, Will and Amanda. I use the term "play golf" loosely because I drove the golf cart and watched while the three of them played! I also may have enjoyed a mimosa or two :)

The wedding was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The ceremony was on the 18th hole at the Harbor Town golf course. The groom played golf at Furman, so there was definitely a golf theme throughout, which was so cute. The boutonnieres all had little golf tees in them! The view was gorgeous during the ceremony - we looked straight out onto the harbor. The weather could not have been more perfect!

Alison and I after the ceremony, champagne in hand:
Michael and I:
The ceremony was in a beautiful ballroom overlooking the golf course. The food was delicious and the band was awesome. The flowers were ABSOLUTELY gorgeous! I wish I had taken a picture.

The beautiful bride, Liz, and I. She looked so beautiful!

I was exhausted yesterday and I have SO much to do for my own wedding now...it's a week from Saturday!!!! Have a great Monday!
