Pantry Redo!

Michael and I finally got around to tackling our pantry this weekend. It's a great space, but it was pretty bad on the inside. There were wire shelves (WHY does anyone install these?), nasty scratched up white walls, etc. We took down the old shelves, patched the holes, sanded, painted, and finally, built and installed shelves. Here are some pictures, if you're interested:

Before (ick!):
Once we took out all of the shelves and started painting:
Painting fun:

AFTER! The color looks terrible here, but it's a lovely light blueish grey:
And with all of our stuff organized:
I love it! And I especially love that everything doesn't fall over like it always did on those wire shelves. What do you think?

Wedding Programs

I finally finished my wedding ceremony programs over the weekend! I was SO happy to have them done - I had no idea how long it would take to tie 130 bows onto the programs. The programs were definitely a labor of love. I had Pink Design Events design the format. Next, I was lucky enough to have a vendor I used to work with at my job offer to print, score, and drill holes in them for free! Then, I had to find about 80 yards of ivory ribbon, which was no easy task (I found a spool of 20 yards at 4 different stores). Finally, my Mom and I spent all day Friday tying on the bows. I loved the way they turned out! I wanted something very classic, simple, and elegant. Unfortunately, I can't show you the cover because it has our personal information!

We found the cute basket at Target and I just added some grosgrain ribbon and a sign. What do you think?

Out of Town Boxes

I thought I'd share what I've been working on all weekend! I've finally finished my Out of Town Gift Boxes for the guests staying at the hotel. I LOVE the way they turned out! Here is the finished product:

Here is what we put in each of the boxes:
  • Personalized Water Bottles
  • Georgia Peanuts
  • Peach Gummy candies
  • Praline Pecans
  • Gum
  • Advil
  • Wedding Weekend Brochure
Here are some pictures of the contents of each box:

Thank you to Mrs. Southern Belle and my Mom for helping me stuff and tie ribbons! I can't wait for the guests to receive these when they check into the hotel. 1 week from today Michael and I will be getting married!

DIY Card Box

Here is one of my DIY projects I made for our wedding. It was super simple and I think it turned out pretty cute! I actually still need to cut a slit in the top of the box, but other than that, it's finished! I just found some cute scrapbook paper, grosgrain ribbon, and made the little sign, and that was about it. This card box cost about $4.00 total...pretty good, I think!

Sorry for the bad lighting, but you get the idea!

I got the idea from Preppy Bride - I love all her DIY wedding projects. What do you think?
