We have been dog sitting our friends' dog all weekend. She's a little yellow lab puppy named Charlotte, and she is so cute!

Recent Reading

As I've mentioned before, I am an avid reader and I absolutely LOVE reading. Not only do I enjoy reading, I think that it substantially increases my vocabulary and improves my writing. I'm a very fast reader; I usually average a book every two weeks. Thus, I am constantly on the look-out for new books to read! Here are a few of my recent favorites:

Gregory wrote The Other Boleyn Girl, which got me hooked on her series about the Tudor Monarchy. I am a history junkie, so these books have kept me occupied for a while!

I love working at a college - you get random snow days! My office closed at noon today because of snow, so now I'm all cozy in my house for the day.

Wonderful Weekend in Atlanta

Last weekend I was in Atlanta for two wonderful events - my friend Candace's Baby Shower and my nephew's Baptism!

My sister-in-law and I threw Candace (Mrs. Southern Belle) a baby shower on Saturday. It was so much fun to plan and to visit with everyone. We had a cowboy theme because little baby Keating will most definitely be a cowboy! Candace is due in early February, so not too long now!

Sunday morning was Gates' baptism! He was so adorable. Gates wore the Christening gown that numerous people in my family have worn (including myself)!
